She Really Said That?

They are not always eloquent or elegant--but they get their points across. Some memorable quotes from this past year:

"That’s one of the things I like about him, because he’s been consistent since he changed his mind."  Christine O'Donnell on why she's endorsing Mitt Romney.

I’d buy cocaine rather than buy that shit.” Super lawyer Joe Jamail on how he feels about investing in hedge funds. (Hat tip: ABA Blog)

Megyn_kelly  "I said I’d put a stiletto through his eye if he didn’t put me on air."  Megyn Kelly (at right), Fox News anchor, on how she escaped the law (she was an associate at Jones Day) and launched her TV career.

"Do we really need to waste time saying, 'I'm a feminist'? I never thought about glass ceilings. I never thought about glass floors. I was thinking about how many pies can I come up with for my pies-and-tarts book."  Martha Stewart on her own recipe for success.

"What is the rudest question you can ask a woman? 'How old are you?' 'What do you weigh?' 'When you and your twin sister are alone with Mr. Hefner, do you have to pretend to be lesbians?' No, the worst question is: 'How do you juggle it all?'"  Tina Fey on the work/life balance thing.

Finally, The New York Timesoffers this warning about the dire consequences of liberal parenting: "Tiger Mother author Amy Chua’s daughter gets into Harvard. And where did all those sleepovers and Girl Scout outings get your daughter? Wesleyan, that’s where!"

Drop us a line with your favorite quotes from this year!
